The Maness free consultation policy helps people achieve their dream of successful planting and growing their own vines.

Our step by step guidance system takes the guess work out of raising grapes. Grapevines require less water than lush green lawns, meaning your vineyard installation can be free and easy from an expensive monthly water bill. Besides, grapes taste great and grass tastes yucky!

Annual Memorial Day Event
The 2nd Annual Memorial Day weekend food and wine mixer at Maness Vineyards Estate was yet another success. This year over 120 wine enthusiasts attended including community organizers and members of the San Diego amateur wine maker society.

Our new Gro-Solar System was unveiled as onlookers marveled at the backward spinning electric meter. Barrel samples of our new 2009 wines were tasted and raffle tickets were sold to raise funds for Home of Guiding Hands, a non-profit organization. Prizes included "Vineyard in a Box", signed Port wine bottles and assorted gift baskets.

A great big thank you to all of the volunteers who helped out and to the US Military for their efforts that allowed us the opportunity to enjoy these freedoms.

Casi Cielo Farm Aviary
On the south side of our estate the Casi Cielo Farm aviary is nearing completion. It is the future home to pheasants, turkeys, peacocks, chickens and their boy friend roosters named Little Joe and Phoenix. Farm fresh eggs of all types are collected each and every morning for a big country breakfast and they are always a prime ingredient for the estate's delicious recipes.
New Wines!
The 2009 growing season blessed us with two new wines, "Curiosity" Cabernet Sauvignon and "Tingere®" Syrah Fusion both crushed, fermented and estate bottled by Greg Maness & John Keily of Maness Vineyards Estate.

The new Cabernet label pays homage to the infamous painter Claude Monet in the first release of our new "Artist's Series" collectable wine ... extreme limited availability.

The 1989 Vintage Porto Vino from the Paul Vesco days is still available to all.

Adopt a Vine

Our "2009 Adopt a Vine" sponsorship continues in full swing this summer for clients who wish to adopt 24 grapevines at the Estate and receive a special case of our new release 2009 wines.

Bottling begins in June and July and a precious few sponsorships are still available to wine club members who want to get their hands on some of our Tingere®, Curiosity Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah Fusion, Barrel Aged Porto Vino or upcoming 2011-2012 Mission Criolla Rose Porto or Muscat Canelli.

Reserve your place in our vineyard now and contact Greg Maness at 619-251-1819.

are maintained by appointment only and are usually best on Tuesdays and Sundays between the hours of 10 am to 6 pm. Walking tour includes vineyard stroll, adobe house, going solar, bird aviary and animal pens, flower and vegetable gardens, 6000 acre view, underground wine barrel room, historic 1880 wine bar room and the eco-green grapevine grow room.

There are thousands of grapevines for sale in addition to unique Maness Vineyards Estate souvenirs. Although it is a easy trek around the estate it is not wheelchair friendly and does require a bit of easy walking up and down steps. All Maness Vineyard products and services are available by cash or check.
Estate Adobe Home
has a new insulated tile roof installed May 2010. Great attention to detail was used to retain the original beauty of the home's design and overall character. Special insulated foam liners were installed underneath the fire resistant tiles to keep the home safe and warm for generations to come. Premium Roofing Services of San Diego provided a job perfectly well done. They are the same company that maintains Hotel Del Coronado.
Coins in the Fountains
A welcome addition to our incredible landscape are four beautiful Victorian and Spanish style water fountains providing plenty of soothing, trickling and bubbling sounds about the Estate and at night the sight and sounds are amazing.
Rare Grapevines
Our very rare Criolla Chica and Muscat Canelli 'Southern Parallel' vineyard grapevines are now nearly three feet tall growing out of their protective grow tube sleeves.

The 120 grapevine planting area was trellised and specifically roto-tilled adding organic compost and bird droppings.

Bird cage straw was also added to retain moisture in the decomposed granite soil.

You can find all our fine certified grapevines at several Farmers Markets

In Little Italy, Adams Avenue, Santee in the northern county and the upcoming new Bonita Market set for July.

Call vineyard manager John Keily at 619-395-6967 for more information, times and locations.

Large orders of 100 plus vines and grow tube sleeves can be delivered throughout San Diego county at a small fee.

Vines can also be purchased from our eco-green grow room at the vineyard in Jamul and we also sell fresh grown vegetables all summer long plus hand-picked estate grown citrus during the winter months.

Tingere® Wine

Did you know that we have a brand name wine called "Tingere®"?

This unique name, registered and trademarked, is Italian meaning to tinge or change the color as to stain. The same way that light colored grape juice darkens from the skins of the grapes as fermentation time is increased.

The name Maness is also registered thanks to our long time advisors and business associates Donnie G. and Sandi Gentile ... now you know the rest of the story.

Thanks to John Law
A very special thank you must go out to our new right hand man, John Law, from Arizona who is currently living and working non stop at the vineyard adobe house and cantina.

Safety and lighting upgrades are his specialty which explains why his nick name is 'Sparky'. He and his amazing dog Purdy bring great joy to our lives and we are forever grateful. His touch of old world cowboy Americana is genuine and heart-felt ... a perfect fit to our humble business, just like a leather glove to the hand.
